Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has become popular among the people for his simplicity and spontaneity along with his soft-spoken, firm leadership. The villagers of Giyod in Gandhinagar district experienced similar simplicity and spontaneity on Tuesday morning. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel reached Giyod village without informing anyone in the village about any pre-arranged program. He reached Giyod village and instinctively inquired about the cleanliness, schooling, etc. of the village elders. Shri Bhupendra Patel made his impression as Bhupendra 'Dada' brighter by interacting with these children by going among the forgotten children of Giyod village. The Chief Minister also met the women of the village. He enjoyed the tea while interacting with the villagers. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel went as per schedule to Kantharpur on Tuesday morning to inspect the ongoing development works as a pilgrimage destination of Mahakali Vad. He suddenly instructed his security officials to take the vehicles to Giyod village and reached Giyod directly without any pre-arranged schedule. The villagers of Giyod, the children were pleasantly surprised to see the Chief Minister ambushed in their village. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar, Gandhinagar District Collector Shri Kuldeep Arya and others.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel visited Kantharpur Vad to get information about various activities of Yatra-Pravasan Dham Vikas Project of Kantharpur Mahakali Vad of Dahegam district near Gandhinagar.

 

Under the direction of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Kantharpur Mahakali Vad is being developed by Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board as a Yatra-Pravasan Dham with advanced facilities. Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board for this purpose has taken up the work in the first phase of development works at the cost of Rs. 6 crore. The site has various pristine attractions like beautiful landscaping, meditation spaces, exhibition halls, pathways, gathering area etc.

 

CM alongwith Chief Secretary of State Shri Pankaj Kumar, Tourism Secretary Shri Harit Shukla, Yatradham Vikas Board Secretary Shri Raval, Additional Chief Conservator of Forest Shri Ram Kumar also Gandhinagar Collector Shri Kuldeep Arya and other officials reached Mahakali Vad on Tuesday morning. He obtained details of various works under construction as well as gave necessary suggestions after inspecting the site. The Chief Minister also interacted with local leaders, villagers and exchanged greetings with small children. Shri Bhupendra Patel also gave necessary guidance on how to complete the works which are to be undertaken by the Yatradham Vikas Board at a total cost of Rs. 14.96 crore within the stipulated time frame.

 

It is important to point out here that Kantharpur Vad is said to be 500 years old, And it is also known as Mini Kabirvad. There is a temple of Goddess Mahakali under Vad and a large number of devotees come here to visit . Not only that, but the area over here is spread across more than half an acre.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited this place during his tenure as Chief Minister and expressed his desire to develop it as a pilgrimage destination. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the tourism development works at Yatradham has been speedy. The Chief Minister got in-depth information about these development works during his visit.
