The versatile Morgan Horse! We are celebrating this breed as our June Breed of the Month on #YourDressage! We recently asked our social media followers to share photos of their favorite Morgans, and we've got lots to share! Visit us all through the month of June as we share stories and photo galleries from Morgan owners, breeders, riders, and fans.

Did you know that dressage riders who choose Morgans as their mounts are eligible for special awards through the Adequan®/USDF All-Breeds Awards program, as the American Morgan Horse Association is a participating organization?

Do you have a Morgan or Morgan cross that you adore? Send us a photo at yourdressage@gmail.com and your photo might appear in an upcoming gallery!

KS Bluestem B All U Can B (right, "KB") and KS Bluestem Cimarron B (left, "CB"). CB, owned by Julie Dennis, is the horse that got me addicted to dressage and the Morgan breed, I'm so fortunate to have been on of his riders and take my first step in the sandbox on his back. Being able to welcome his older half brother, KB into my life to continue my dressage career has been a dream come true. KB had my heart from the moment he stepped off the trailer. Coming back into work after 2 years of living his best pasture life has been rough, but we are hoping to be ready to make our debut down centerline in 2023.

I love this breed! I have been in Morgans for over 40 years and shown most disciplines within the breed but competing this particular horse in dressage has been the funnest venture yet!!
- Jodi L.
This photo is from 12 years ago when I was showing my Morgan gelding, Frosty of Misty Mountain ("Frosty"), in local training level Dressage shows! I was about 18 years old and had trained him for two years to do dressage after he had been a trail horse for 12 years prior. We trained up to First/Second Level and he always worked so hard for me, and truly shows the diversity of this wonderful breed. He's now happily living out his retirement, just turned 29 in March. 🙂
