'It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals'.
As a part of LMCP's 75th Anniversary Celebration, the Women Development Cell (WDC) of our college organized an on-campus event on the occasion of International Women's Day-2022 on March 08, 2022, in association with IPA-Gujarat State Branch, AIC-LMCP Foundation & IIC-LMCP. The theme was 'Gender Equality Today or A Sustainable Tomorrow'. The event was coordinated under the key guidance of Dr. Sindhu Ezhava (Coordinator, WDC-LMCP) and Dr. Jayant Dave (President, IPA-GSB).
An expert talk entitled 'Embarking on your Entrepreneurial Journey: Finding your Niche!' by one of our Alumnus- Dr. Hetal Shah [Founder-Director, MeWriT®️ Healthcare Consulting], was arranged as part of the program in which she enlightened the students with her success story and guided them as to how each one of them can pursue innovative ideas into reality. The talk was followed by Elocution competition based on the theme of the event. 21 students had participated from various colleges and represented with great enthusiasm. The competition was judged by invited guests, Dr. Alpana Shukla (Head, Botany Department at M. G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad) and Ms. Leya Mathew (Faculty, School of Arts and Sciences, Ahmedabad University). First three winners were honored with trophies and cash prizes. To put it all together International Women's Day upskilled everyone to consider men and women equal today for a better tomorrow.
