Manchester United are trying their best to sign Lisandro Martinez from Ajax this summer. Their rivals, Arsenal, are also in the race to sign the centre-back, but have not been able to match the amount that the Eredivisie champions want for their man.
United's offer for the defender is around €40 million, but Ajax want more than that amount. The player is keen on a move to the Premier League, and his entourage is pushing for the transfer to happen.
