George Clooney and Julia Roberts are a believable couple in this predictable rom/com.
A divorced couple that teams up and travels to Bali to stop their daughter from making the same mistake they think they made 25 years ago.
It is a very by the numbers Rom/Com that doesn't do anything to surprise its audience.
George Clooney and Julia Roberts play the divorced couple and are so comfortable and effortless in their roles, you really believe they are the two parts they are playing.
Kaitlyn Dever plays their daughter Lily who on holiday in Bali meets Gede (Maxime Bouttier) who is a local seaweed farmer, who fall in love and plan to get married.
Lily's parents are determined to derail the wedding and for the first time 25 years they are in full agreement and work together to try and stop the wedding.
If you told me this movie had come out in the 1990's I wouldn't have been surprised, it has that feel about it and I'm sure that George Clooney and Julia Roberts could have made this movie back then.
This movie is more towards the romance than comedy as there wasn't really that many funny moments that I can remember.
The movie does look beautiful, all the sunshine and the beaches, it was shot mostly in Queensland, Australia rather than Bali where the movie is set.
I don't think this is a must see at the cinema.
