Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel today handed over appointment letters to the selected candidates of various 12 categories of Panchayat Service. He said the state government is determined to develop the potential of youth in the right direction.

 

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through a video message requested all the newly appointed candidates to join Team Gujarat and serve as true social workers. On the day of Dhanteras, the central government employment fair was started from Delhi. Since then many states have started initiatives in the employment sector. But Gujarat has maintained its tradition of leadership and has been a leader in the employment sector for which Prime Minister congratulated the team Gujarat led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.

 

Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat has accelerated the development of Gujarat by establishing a transparent and effective working system in the state. Following the footsteps of the Prime Minister, the state government has engaged more than five thousand youth in government service today on the day of Labh Panchami, said CM.

 

The Chief Minister lauded the work of the Panchayat Department for completing the recruitment process in just seven months. He added that the Prime Minister has adopted a three-pronged approach of vision, action and mission for the job-seeking youth and under his guidance, the state government has planned to provide opportunities to more than 13 thousand Karmayogis by making the biggest recruitment in the history of Panchayati Raj in Gujarat.

 

Wishing all the selected candidates a bright future and called upon all the youths to carry out the public welfare schemes of the government as their responsibilities.

 

Minister of Labor and Employment Shri Brijesh Merja congratulating the newly appointed candidates said that the newly appointed youth will make an invaluable contribution in Gujarat's development journey. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel has constantly worried and planned for the youth to join the government services, as a result of which this has become possible today.

Minister Shri Merja added that the state government conducted the examination of various 15 panchayat cadres under the panchayat department in a fully transparent manner with intensive arrangements of police security and strong room. Under which more than five thousand youth have been given appointment letters today. It is a matter of pride for all of us that more than 70 percent of these shortlisted candidates are women.

 

Additional Chief Secretary of Panchayat, Gram Gruha Nirman and Village Development Department Shri Vipul Mitra in his welcome address gave an outline of the whole program and said that recruitment was organized for 17 cadres of Panchayat Service Class-3. Out of which the competitive examination of 15 cadres has been completed and appointment letters have been handed over to 5763 selected candidates of various 12 cadres.

 

Chairman of Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board Mr. Nareshbhai Shah congratulated the entire team of Panchayat Department for completing this entire recruitment process with complete transparency within the time limit.

 

Chief Secretary Shri. Pankaj Kumar, Development Commissioner Shri Sandeep Kumar, MLAs, Presidents of all District Panchayat's, Members of Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board, and the candidates who got the appointment letters along with the high officials of the Panchayat department were present on the occasion.
