Cumbria's Rugby Union Sides Involved In Record Result And Unbeatable Team Beaten

Rugby Union heads into the last month of the season with all still to play for with shock results.

Debate rages in North West Division after the lasted round of fixtures.

The battle at the top might have turned away from leaders Lymm despite squeezing past Stockport 24-26 on February 25.

With a worse points difference to Lymm Blackburn have brought it back with a record breaking 190-0 win at home to Kirkby Lonsdale.

Rossendale extended the gap to fourth with a 75-24 win over Manchester as Sandbach lost 7-25 to Macclesfield while Wirral ran out 44-17 victors against Northwich.

The first of the final three games takes place on March 4 with Lymm head to Manchester as Blackburn travel to Stockport.

In the battle for third Rossendale host Kendal and Sandbach face Burnage.

Macclesfield take on Wirral while Northwich host Kirkby Lonsdale.

In Regional 2 North Penrith kept their lead with a 13-64 win at Middlesbrough on February 25 while Morpeth almost slipped up at Durham City squeezing a 27-26 win as Northern sit two points behind Morpeth and kept the pressure on them with a 12-40 win away to Keswick.

South Shields Westoe went down 12-46 to Percy Park and Carlisle lost 24-32 to Consett.

Penrith's last two games start with a home match with Consett on March 4, Morpeth head to South Shields Westoe and Northern welcome Durham City.

Aspatria face Percy Park as Stockton travel to Middlesbrough and the last Cumbrian derby of the season takes place as Keswick take on Carlisle.

After going 15 games unbeaten this season Upper Eden's record fell on February 25 in Conference 1.

The top two stay the same after Cockermouth's 10-5 win over the leaders Upper Eden, Egremont are still looking for their first win of 2023 as they went down 19-28 at home to Whitehaven and Millom's game at Wigton was postponed.

The final three games for most teams start on March 4 when Upper Eden, who have four games left, host Egremont.

Cockermouth, also with four games left, travel to Millom while Whitehaven face Wigton.

In the Friday night fixture on February 24 Silloth picked up a 10-6 over Creighton in Conference 2.

Leaders Hawcoat Park beat St Benedicts 20-5 to stay ahead of Penrith II who were awarded the points in their game against Workington on Saturday February 25.

Four games left for most Conference 2 sides with the first on March 4 with the top half
