The North West Women's Regional Football League was weather affected as all three Cumbrian entries games were postponed.

In the Premier Division Darwen have gone top on Sunday, September 24, with a 2-1 victory at home to West Didsbury who drop to fifth.

Cheadle Town are up to third with a 3-4 victory at Curzon Ashton while Fleetwood Town Wrens take fourth with a 2-2 draw at Crewe Alexandra.

While at the bottom of the table Salford City lost 4-3 at Blackburn Community and Bury move off the bottom with a 4-1 win against Blackpool who drop to the foot of the table.

The Premier Division takes a break on Sunday, October 1, as the Vitality FA Cup rolls round.

In Division One North Preston North End are still top of the table after a 5-1 win over Radcliffe on Sunday, September 24, as Mancunian Unity were 4-0 winners against Haslingden while Bolton Wanderers lost 2-7 to Accrington Stanley who move into third.

Workington Reds trip to Penwortham Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch as Penrith AFC's trip to Fleetwood Town Wrens and Carlisle United Ladies game against Morecambe Women also fell foul of the weather.

While the FA Cup takes over there are three games in the division as Carlisle United host Penwortham Town on Saturday, September 30, having gone out in the First Qualifying Round while Fleetwood Town Wrens head to Haslingden and Accrington Stanley will look to join Preston and Mancunian Unity at the top with victory at Morecambe.

Workington Reds Ladies host Penrith AFC Ladies in the Second Qualifying Round.

In Division One South Wythenshawe have gone three points clear at the top of the table after a 7-3 win over Runcorn Linnet on Sunday, September 23, as St Helens lost 2-1 at Chester FC.

Poulton Vics stay third with a 2-2 draw at home to Ellesmere Port while Hindley move up to fourth after a 4-5 win at Warrington.

Litherland and Altrincham shared the points with a 0-0 while Northwich went down 9-0 at Mossley Hills.

Only three games start on Sunday, October 1, as Runcorn look to move back into the top three with a home tie against Northwich Vixens, Ellesmere Port host Litherland Remyca and Mossley Hills face Altrincham.
