Review:
I haven't watched horror in a long time and this was riveting. Ot was as scary as I was expecting. The scary part is when the spirot shows though the shadow woth all her hair standing up. Otherwise, ot's not scary. Juat like what Gu San Yeong said (and jiat like my mom), often times, humans are scarier than ghosts.
The opening scene of Gu Gang Mo being chased and hanging himself was shocking and perfectly sets off this strange story.
I love Kim Taeri, she always delivers, esp in the latter part when she was starting to change and the demon was slowly consuming her body and soul. That scene in the aquarium was OMG intense!! Plus the scene where I shouted, "Noooo!!" On the screen and got chills was when Kim Won Hae's detective character jumped, and Sanyeong was knocking on the door. Eep!! I think I dreamt of her that night and was scared of the ligjts outside my door.
I also loved Yeom Hae Sang, how steady and brave he was. The final scene confrontation againat the demon was *clap clap clap*. I almost screamed coz I thought he got manipulated. Whew. Thank God he was smart enough for the demon.
I liked how the writer showed how different detectives investigated the crimes vs how Hae Sang searched about the ghosts. It gave us little by little tidbits of info about the unraveling story. Plus so good that they still reached the same conclusion in every case.
Overall a solid horror drama.
