Transportation company Bebeto Bus have unveiled their new football team during a ceremony at their main terminal in Mengo.
The newly formed team will commence its journey in the fifth division of the Kampala region.
The unveiling event on Sunday was marked by enthusiasm and high hopes for the club's future.
Lobert Twahirwa, the CEO of Bebeto Bus, spoke to SportsNation about the motivations behind establishing the football team.
"This is a dream come true for all of us associated with Bebeto Buses. We want to be a part of the global football family and support the youth through our corporate social responsibility initiatives. While other companies might focus on orphanages, we believe football is the way forward."
Twahirwa outlined ambitious goals for the team, aiming for significant achievements in the next decade. "In 5 to 10 years, we want to compete in the CAF Champions League and face big teams with skilled players," he added.
Twahirwa also mentioned that the team will be benchmarking against the record Uganda Premier League holders SC Villa. "In business, you always look at the bigger picture. We aspire to own a football stadium just like Vipers SC, who haven't been around for long but have made significant strides."
The team will be coached by Fauz Besiime, who shared his immediate targets for the club. "Our primary goal is to see the club grow rapidly and compete in the Uganda Premier League while also enhancing both club and company exposure. We want to give back to the community through football, and if we stay united, we will achieve our goals together."
The team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Jonglei United on Wednesday.
