Police FC will be crowned 2023/24 FUFA Big League Champions if they manage to avoid defeat against Kataka on last day of the season.
The Cops registered a 2-0 win against Kigezi Homeboyz in their second last game of the season, last Sunday.
The win took their season's points tally to 53, a mark that can only be attained by second-placed Lugazi (now at 50 points).
Mbale Heroes (49) in third, are not in title contention, but just like Police and Lugazi, have already sealed promotion to Uganda Premier League.
Police scored two late goals to keep dominating the Big League table, like they've done throughout the season, with Steven Kabuye and Denis Kalanzi on target.
Police can still be crowned champions even with defeat at Kataka, and Lugazi fail to pick maximum points against Jinja North.
After 26 games, Police have managed upto 15 wins - the most in the league, and also gone on to draw eight times, while registering just three losses so far.
