Uganda 7s emerged victorious in the first leg of the Africa Men's 7s, defeating Madagascar 31-12 in a thrilling final on Sunday.

After halftime, Madagascar scored a converted try, bringing their total to 12 points.

This edition of the Africa's Sevens is being played over two legs across to weekends in Mauritius, with the second leg set for next weekend. The winner is decided by a series table.
Uganda's win is a significant step in their quest to qualify for the 2025 World Challenger Series.
