Review:
Episode 1's plot was really interesting. Losing superpowers because of lifestyle disease was funny!! But everything started falling apart in episode 2. It was hard to like Dahae for being a scammer and her family (no matter how much they were redeemed in the end), esp in the first half. I also didn't believe her when she started getting conflicted with her feelings. Chun Woo Hee is a great actress, I just think that the character or the writing wasn't that well written to emphasize it.
The main reason i watched this is for Jang Ki Yong - he was still handsome even if he looked so thin and looked like he doesn't shower that much lol. However, I didn't feel anything between Gwiju and Dahae. I don't even know when they started liking each other. That's even in the end, when they were professing their love i just couldnt feel it.
Epsiodes 10-12 were so boring. I just wanted to know how it will end. The writing was so dumb during both fires. Ina was so brave to leave her friend alone while she tries to find a way out but as soon as she saw Dahae she cried and stopped moving, even when Gwiju was desperately trying to hold on on the clock. He kept shouting to run but Dahae just kept crying about not wanting to leave him. I wanted to scream and say just get the kid out of there so he can transport himself somewhere else dumba..!! Then in the past, instead of just pushing Dahae out the window and him transporting back to the present he just kept on saying goodbye to her til the lab exploded (face palm)!
I know this is fantasy, but I just can't understand the logic that the whole future hasn't happened yet to Gwiju. How is it that he is the only one living in the wrong timeline than the rest?
Believe me, many times I wanted to drop this show, and I stayed mostly for Donghee's story. I love her feisty character and how cute she was! As someone who also struggles daily with my weight, I can totally relate to her hopelessness when she has tried everything but she just doesn't seem to be getting a results! I really wanted her to lose weight and find her mojo back, and kicked that stupid doctor out of the way!! I was so happy when she was able to fly again!! The little thing she had with the uncle was unexpected but it was cute!
You know the story is bad when i was more fascinated by the cute middle school love story than the leads' romance!! Ina was silent and mostly kept to herself and her classmates bullied her, but the cutest boy in school could see her, and only see her. I felt bad for her - her mom died and she thought she was the reason, she was totally neglected by her alcoholic and depressed father, and she can see people's thoughts (prolly the worst possible superpower for a teenager).
Lastly, the 2 moms were annoying. I didn't like them both.
