George Masembe, a former midfielder for Bulemeezi in Masaza Cup, has finalized his transfer to URA FC.
He joins the tax collectors from Gadaffi FC, which he signed with in September of last year after guiding Bulemeezi to the Masaza Cup Triumph.
In addition to his stint with Gadaffi FC, Masembe also played for UWA (Simba) in the Buganda Regional League on a double license, helping the team reach the playoffs final, where they ultimately lost to Ntungusaze FC.
Masembe, who began his career at Zirobwe Young, has already commenced training with URA FC at Gayaza Hormsdalen Primary School. He was a member of the CECAFA U18 Championship squad in Kenya last year.
URA FC will be led by Alex Isabirye, who took over as the Head Coach from David Obua at the end of the season.
The team has confirmed Nakivubo Stadium as their home ground for the 2024/2025 season and has strengthened their squad with several new signings, including Abraham Tusubira, Vuni Bright Joseph, Ibrahim Kazibdula, and goalkeepers Derrick Ochan and Abdu Magada, pending official announcement.
The club has also bid farewell to several players, including longest-serving player Saidi Kyeyune, Dada Ibrahim, Hassan Kalega, Steven Mwaka, and Viane Ssekajuko.
