If their opening results are anything to go by, one thing is guaranteed for Bury games this season - goals. The Shakers were 5-1 victors over Padiham in the North West Counties Premier Division on Tuesday - taking their tally to nine goals in just two matches.
Bebeto Gomes opened the scoring for Dave McNabb's side after four minutes, and added another before the break. Both Irywah Gooden and Rustam Stepans were on target once again after scoring in the 4-4 opening day at Squires Gate, with Sam Coughlan also on the scoresheet. Joel Brownhill briefly gave Padiham hope from the penalty spot midway through the first half, but his side went in 4-1 down at half time.
Bury are up to third in the fledgling table - behind the only two teams with wins in both games to date - FC St Helens and AFC Liverpool. Newly-promoted Saints were 3-1 winners at Cheadle Town on Wednesday, while AFC left it late to beat Prestwich Heys 24 hours earlier.

St Helens picked up another three points with goals from Josh Hall, Tom Scarborough and Connor Spiers, with Connor Martin taking a late consolation for the home side. AFC's injury time winner - four minutes after the 90 - came from Bobby Murphy.
Charnock Richard bagged a first win of the season and have yet to concede following a 4-0 victory at Longridge Town. Two goals in each half came from Matthew Davies, a Luke Power brace and one for Nathan Nickeas to take victory.
Ramsbottom United also got their first win with a 3-0 home win over promoted side Abbey Hey, who ended the game with ten men following Kieran Nolan's red card. Luke Sephton's second of the season, an own goal and one from Oscar Radcliffe sealed the win for Steve Wilkes' side.
Chadderton won by the odd goal in five at Glossop North End, with the Oldham side running out 3-2 victors. Lewis-Simon Byrne opened the scoring for Chaddy, with Muis Bibire Bello doubling the lead on 44 minutes. The hosts pulled one back before the break through Jamie Nicholson, but again found themselves two behind just four minutes into the second half thanks to Robert Flynn.
Lewis Reilly's converted penalty with 25 minute on the clock gave North End some hope of rescuing something from the game, but they eventually fell to a second defeat.
The Ravens of FC Isle of Man swooped onto the mainland and returned home with their first win - beating Irlam 3-1 at Silver Street. Jack McVey, Sam Baines and Sean Doyle were on target for the visitors, while Declan Daniels scored his second in as many games for Irlam, but again ended up on the losing side.
Burscough picked up their first points of the campaign with a 4-2 home win over Squires Gate. The Blackpool side's James Hughes opened and closed the scoring - but efforts from Che Trapasso-Tulley, Harry Cannon-Noren in the first half gave Burscough the advantage.
They hammered it home in the second half, with Harvey Sample and sub Delial Brewster notching up their first goals of the campaign. Hughes' 94th minute goal means Gate have scored six goals so far but only have one point to show for it.
Barnoldswick Town remain unbeaten with a 4-1 victory over Colne in a game that sprung to life in the second half. Goalless until the 55th minute - when Colne's Cuan Bradley broke the deadlock - before Barlick went on a ten-minute rampage with goals from Andrew and Gareth Hill, and a Ryan Moore brace.
