Park Hyatt Marrakech has officially opened, offering a new pinnacle of luxury nestled in the serene foothills of the Atlas Mountains. This debut marks the arrival of the Park Hyatt brand in Morocco, enhancing its presence in Africa alongside Park Hyatt Zanzibar and the forthcoming Park Hyatt Johannesburg.

The hotel is uniquely positioned approximately 5.5 miles (9 kilometres) from Marrakech's historic Medina district. The 19-acre (7.5-hectare) resort is an exquisite, tranquil haven surrounded by lush palm, olive, and jacaranda trees, adjacent to the renowned Al Maaden Golf Resort. This pristine location provides guests with exclusive access to an 18-hole golf course while offering a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle.

Park Hyatt Marrakech features 130 residentially inspired guestrooms and suites, among the most spacious in Marrakech. The rooms promise privacy and tranquillity, with Moroccan touches throughout, such as traditionally woven Berber carpets and Tataoui motif headboards. Each room is adorned with modern works of art sourced through an exclusive collaboration with Ifitry Artists' Residence, which has curated over 700 paintings and decorative objects for the hotel.

The hotel's design is a harmonious blend of modern luxury and traditional Arab-Berber heritage. Renowned Marrakech-based architect Imaad Rahmouni has drawn inspiration from local traditions to craft a luxurious yet contemporary design. The architecture skillfully balances modern conveniences with rich traditional craftsmanship, emphasising the surrounding panoramic views as an extension of the interiors. Guests can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Atlas Mountains and Mount Toubkal from various vantage points within the hotel, including the lobby, spa treatment rooms, and pool areas.

The hotel offers a variety of dining options that reflect the brand's elevated food and wine expertise. TFAYA, an arabesque brasserie, is helmed by acclaimed Moroccan chef Issam Rhachi, who presents signature dishes with an avant-garde approach. Le Pavillon offers a light, all-day menu under shady pergolas or by the pool. Guests can unwind in The Living Room, enjoying Moroccan mint tea or a Fennel Old Fashioned paired with Beef Tangia Gyoza from the tapas menu.

Pascal Leprou, General Manager of Park Hyatt Marrakech, expresses his excitement about the opening: "We are looking forward to welcoming our discerning Park Hyatt guests to Marrakech. True to the brand promise, we have created a refined home-away-from-home that unlocks unparalleled enrichment for guests, while upholding and honoring Moroccan traditions. The result is an intimate sanctuary of exceptional and magical surroundings for the curious and adventurous traveller."

The hotel's 23,000-square-foot (2,200-square-meter) spa is a tranquil haven, featuring products from Sodashi and Nectarome. The spa offers personalized treatments, including Hammam Escape and Muscle and Sports Massage, tailored to individual needs. Additional facilities include a hair salon, a 2,153-square-foot (200-square-meter) fitness centre, and a yoga studio. The resort also features three unique pools—an outdoor heated pool, a family-friendly outdoor pool, and an indoor heated pool beneath a vaulted ceiling, each offering stunning valley and mountain views.

Park Hyatt Marrakech provides seven spacious function rooms, designed with a residential feel and desert-inspired aesthetic. These spaces can accommodate up to 80 guests for various events, from elegant wedding receptions to formal corporate meetings. Each pavilion, known as Douars, includes a rooftop terrace with a panoramic 360° view, ensuring a memorable experience for private events.
