| YardWise 2026: Smart Care, Smarter Business is an independent, industry-focused event created to support yard owners and equestrian professionals facing the growing pressures of modern yard management — including rising costs, client challenges, welfare responsibilities, and business sustainability. |
The event is jointly organised by Cheryl Johns of LiveryList, Helen Stock of Animalweb, and Amanda Watson of The Equestrian Index, bringing together their combined expertise and commitment to improving standards, knowledge, and support within the sector. |
Designed in response to clear demand for better support from yard owners and managers, YardWise provides a rare opportunity for open discussion, expert insight, and practical solutions in a fully independent and impartial setting.
The 2025 event highlighted a significant gap in industry support and demonstrated the value of bringing professionals together in one space to share knowledge and experience. Following its success, the 2026 event has been expanded to two days. |
YardWise 2026: Smart Care, Smarter Business will take place on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th September 2026, at Warwick Trident College, Leamington Spa. Attendees can join for one or both days, with each day focusing on a distinct theme: |
Day One: Equine Care & Environment
|
Day Two: Business Viability & Professional Standards
|
| The programme features a carefully selected line-up of leading experts from across the equine industry. Speakers include Dr David Marlin (Animalweb), Dr Katie Williams MSc (Dist) RNutr (Dengie Horse Feeds), Nic de Brauwere MRCVS (Redwings Horse Sanctuary), Gail Eggington (Ag+), Helen Whitelegg (Strangles Awareness Week), Ali Dane (Retraining of Racehorses), Sarah Dale (British Horse Society & NEWC), Verity Beaton (EC Pro), SEIB Insurance Brokers, and Rebecca Wheaver (RDA). |
YardWise attendees are given the opportunity to engage directly with experts, discuss their own yards and challenges, and gain insight relevant to their day-to-day operations. The event fosters collaboration between like-minded professionals, encouraging open discussion and practical problem-solving. |
Feedback from YardWise 2025 described the event as highly valuable, relevant, and unique in its focus on real-world yard challenges. |
For 2026, the expanded two-day format aims to deepen that impact, providing even greater access to expertise and more time for meaningful discussion. |
Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th September 2026 at Warwick Trident College, Royal Leamington Spa. Warwickshire.
