Horse Killed on road in Chippenham
A horse has been killed, and two others in the group injured in Chippenham, Wilstshire.
A horse owner was leading a group of three horses along the B4069 by the railway bridge in Dauntsey Lock, Chippenham at around 7.30am on Tuesday 26th October, when a lorry driving down the road caused a crash.
While two of the horses suffered injuries, unfortunately one died at the scene. The lady walking the horses was taken to Great Western Hospital with a trauma to her shoulder.
The female handler is believed to have been moving horses, which was a regular occurrence, in-between fields when the accident happened.
The road was closed in both direction as emergency services dealt with situation accordingly.
