Al Masry vice president Mohamed El-Kholy claimed his club will be filing an official complaint against their CAF Confederation Cup opponents Rivers United.

Egypt representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup Al Masry have suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Nigeria's Rivers United at the Enyimba International Stadium.

According to Egyptian news outlet, Kingfut, Rivers United prevented a television broadcast of the game.

The Egyptian side now has to win 1-0 or by a two-goal difference in Port-Said next Sunday to qualify to the Group stage.

After the match, Al Masry vice president Mohamed El-Kholy said that they will be filing an official complaint as they saw insulting treatment from their hosts.

"What we saw in our visit to Nigeria is something I have never seen in my whole life," El-Kholy said.

"The game was not broadcasted on TV, and when we tried to record it on our cell phones they were taken from us violently.

"We were not protected on the pitch, we are preparing to file an official complaint to CAF.

"Considering the poor treatment and refereeing mistakes in the game, we did well, and our response will be on the pitch, in the second leg in Port Said."
