Abbey Hey strengthened their playoff position after an injury time Will Shawcross penalty gave them a 4-3 victory at ten-man Cammell Laird 1907 in the North West Counties First Division South.
Ashley Woods gave Abbey the half-time lead, and Shawcross doubled the lead on the hour before an immediate reply from the home side's James Eaton. Dillon Edmundson re-established the two goal lead five minutes later, but Matthew Beaman and Eaton's second pulled the home side level as the game approached the final ten minutes.
Shawcross kept his cool to convert a spot kick six minutes into injury time and duly handed his side all three points. Lairds' fightback came despite Richard Ley's red card when they were still 3-1 down.

It's been a profitable festive season for the Gorton side, who are unbeaten in four in December. Cammell Laird end the season in the bottom three on goal difference and without a win in four.
Stafford Town finish the year a point outside the playoffs after a comprehensive 3-0 victory at out-of-form Market Drayton Town. Adam Wall's side stepped it up after a goalless first half, with Tom Duffy and Jake Cartwright netting in quick succession past the hour mark.
Top scorer Jayden Hunter closed out the scoring with his 16th of the season, and left The Gingerbreads facing an eighth straight loss.
Barnton made it three wins in three, but left it very late to dispatch Alsager Town at Townfield, as both sides ended the game a man short. Matthew Waller's dismissal before the half hour left the home side at a disadvantage, but the ten men were able to keep a clean sheet.
The visiting Lukas Jacobsen-Murphy's red card for a second booking belatedly levelled the sides numerically, before Dylan Proctor's penalty seven minutes into injury time gave the home side victory.
Barnton are two points and two places short of the playoffs at this stage. It's back-to-back defeats for The Bullets to end the year, who are 12th, but only two points clear of the drop zone in a congested lower half of the table.
Promotion chasers Sandbach United also battled back from a first half red card to take a point in a 1-1 draw with Ashville. Ben Greenop's opened the scoring for the visitors with goal 14 of the season, and Sandbach's first half went from bad to worse with a red card for Tom Morris before the half hour.
Despite the man advantage, Ashville were unable to extend their lead and were made to pay by Callum Chapman's equaliser with a minute to go. Declan Swan's side are now unbeaten in nine.
