Bacup Borough bounced back from successive defeats to thrash strugglers Nelson 5-0 in their own back yard - and climbed into the top five as a result.
As one of only three games to go ahead as the weather relentlessly continues to hamper the fixture list, Borough made the most of inactivity elsewhere to climb to fourth. A Lewis-Simon Byrne hat-trick was the highlight of their five star performance, with Connor Morris and Kyle Siddle's penalty completing the rout in the second half.
It's a first win in three for Bacup, although they have now secured the double over Nelson having won the reverse game 2-0 in September. The Little Wembley side continue to prop up the table, without a win in five.

South Liverpool will end the year in second place, but had to settle for rescuing a point in a 3-3 home draw with Darwen. Mohamed Abdi had put the hosts ahead on 12 minutes, but they quickly found themselves 2-1 down thanks to Brayden Shaw's equaliser and Max Cane's second in as many matches.
Lewis Williams equalised to ensure Martin Ryman's side went in level at the break, but they found themselves behind again late on as Kit Lloyd put The Salmoners ahead. It took an injury time penalty - eight minutes into added time - for the home side to level through Elliot Owen's spot kick.
Darwen remain tenth and are on a three game unbeaten run.
AFC Blackpool and Steeton shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Jepson Way, with Nick Hepple on target for the third consecutive game for The Mechanics. AFC had the half-time lead, but the Yorkshire side regrouped after the break.
The debuting Freddie Westfall was the hero for the hardy souls who had made one of the division's longest journeys in mid-winter, and this point leaves Steeton seven points clear of the dropzone.
A point probably isn't enough for AFC at this stage, with the club 11 points shy of safety and having played more games than most of the sides around them.
The following games were all off thanks to a waterlogged pitch:
- Ashton Town vs Atherton Laburnum Rovers
- Euxton Villa vs Ashton Athletic
- Garstang vs Route One Rovers
- Runcorn Town vs Holker Old Boys
