A man has dies near a Cumbria waterfall, Keswick Mountain Rescue has confirmed.
The mountain rescue teams were called after a passing walking heard shouts for help from a man who was performing CPR near to the Taylorgill Force waterfall.
Due to weather conditions and the terrain of the area the rescue team's Helimed were unable to land and had to abort.
They did however provide an accurate location of the casualty site.
Keswick team arrived but the man could not be saved.
The man's location was on steep and difficult terrain so a Coastguard helicopter was requested but again due to weather conditions the Coastguard could not assist.
A long and a technically complex recovery of the man proceeded.
